Md. Sirajul Islam FCA

Md. Sirajul Islam FCA was born on 20th August 1966 in Atulia village of Shyamnagar police station in Satkhira district in the lap of Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world on the border of South Bengal. He had a fond childhood and colorful adolescence. He played in the solitary village on the shores of the small river limestone, which shone with silver in the moonlight, swimming in the river, fishing. Sometimes or on a moonlit night, sitting alone on the chest of the white jochana, where on a full moon night the sky breaks and the flood of white jochana floats away the country fields, ghats, barren deserts. Ever or the firefly walks in the light of the stars in the dark night.

He entered the world of writing after passing his SSC in 1992. He graduated with a master’s degree in accounting in 1997, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011, and an FCA degree in 2016. Currently working as a Professional Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).

Awards: Atish Dipankar was awarded the Atish Dipankar Gold Medal-2019 by the Research Council. Received Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award-2018 by Mahatma Gandhi Research Council. International Mother Language Medal-2016 by Omar Siraj GQ Foundation. He won the Immortal Literary Award 2017 for his novel “Shimanter Opare”. He was awarded the Special Literary Award-2016 for the novel “Shishir Veja Path” by the A Quader Foundation and the Special Literary Award-2016 for his contribution to the public awareness about AIDS in the novel “Shishir Veja Path” by the South Atulia Charity Foundation.
